Evan R. Berman

Evan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in philosophy, and then went on to graduate magna cum laude with a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. He has practiced law for over twelve years. He has served as Associate General Counsel for Factory Motor Parts, a privately held company based in Eagan, Minnesota, and Hawkins, Inc., a public corporation based in Roseville, Minnesota, whose shares are freely traded on the NASDAQ exchange. As Associate General Counsel, he represented his companies in a wide variety of commercial matters, including commercial leasing, contract drafting, negotiations, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation. He has used his experience to instruct other in-house counsel on how best to transfer risk through strategic contract drafting.
